Welding solutions for plastic packaging
Packaging production can involve shaped seals in formed parts or straight seams in flexible films. Forsstrom provides HF welding solutions for compatible thermoplastics and impulse welding options for suitable films. The polymer, sealing layer and pack construction determine the joining method. Tooling, loading arrangements and cycle control can then be developed around the product and required production volume.

Yes, when the packaging materials and sealing surfaces are HF compatible. Shaped tooling defines the joint, and suitable platen presses can support loading and handling arrangements. PVC, coatings and multilayer constructions must be assessed for the specific pack.
No. Films differ in polymer, sealing layer, thickness and heat response. A process suitable for one pack may not suit another. Provide the complete film construction and required seal properties so the material and tooling can be evaluated together.
